چکیده
We aimed to investigate the clonal relationships, common sequence types, and carbapenemase genes in 177 non-repetitive blood culture isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii collected from patients at three university hospitals Turkey 2016. Molecular epidemiological characteristics were examined using pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE), multilocus typing (MLST) (Pasteur scheme-cpn60, fusA, gltA, pyrG, recA, rplB, rpoB). Multiplex PCR was used genes, including blaOXA-23-like, blaOXA-24-like, blaOXA-48-like, blaOXA-58-like, blaIMP, blaVIM, blaNDM. PFGE genotyping yielded 92 pulsotypes with a clustering ratio 69.7%. As per ?85% similarity coefficient, 159 (90.9%) found be clonally related. The blaOXA-23-like blaOXA-58-like identified 100% 28.2% isolates, respectively. blaNDM gene two isolates. MLST analysis included 54 different pulsotypes, 29 types (STs). Most (n = 36) belonged complex (CC)2, one isolate CC1, CC164. Sixteen new STs (ST1235–ST1250) identified. Identifying both global ST2 large number STs, revealed high genetic diversity A. study population.

Molecular epidemiology of clinical isolates of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter spp. from Chinese hospitals.
Carbapenem resistance in Acinetobacter spp. is an emerging problem in China. We investigated the molecular epidemiology and carbapenemase genes of 221 nonrepetitive imipenem-resistant clinical isolates of Acinetobacter spp. collected from 1999 to 2005 at 11 teaching hospitals in China. Genotyping by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) found 15 PFGE patterns. Of these, one (clone P) was iden...
متن کاملIdentification and characterization of OXA-48 producing, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae isolates in Turkey.
Carbapenem resistance in Enterobacteriaceae isolates has been reported from Turkey and is most often mediated by OXA-48 type carbapenemases. We report the identification and characterization of four carbapenem-resistant isolates (three Klebsiella pneumoniae and one Escherichia coli) among 515 clinical Enterobacteriaceae isolates collected during a 7-month study period in Ankara, Turkey. The fou...
متن کاملMolecular Characterization of Carbapenem-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae Species Isolated From a Tertiary Hospital, Ankara, Turkey
Background: Carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates can spread among the hospitalized patients and result in serious infections and increase mortality. Molecular studies provide useful information about resistance mechanisms and crosstransmission among the resistant isolates. Objectives: The current study aimed at investigating phenotypic and molecular characteristics of the carbape...

Background & objective: Beta-lactam antibiotics resistance specifically Imipenem and Meropenem, the last choices of treatment, causes fatal events in patients with P.aeruginosa infection. The aim of this study was to detect the VIM and IMP of metallo-beta-lactamase genes in 103 isolates of P. aeruginosa in two Iranian hospitals. <strong...

PURPOSE The increasing prevalence and global spread of carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii) has become a serious problem. The aim of this study was to investigate molecular and epidemiological characteristics of carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii isolates collected from Korean non-tertiary hospitals.
